Onto text chat, I would really appreciate if this missing feature was acknowledged as it seems like it ought to be in the game for various reasons, such as SoT being crossplay with PC (who have text chat), SoT being a first-party game by Microsoft Studios, and the fact that there is an official Chat Pad you can buy from Microsoft. This feature can be added to the SoT options menu where it says you must press in the RS button to say a command. ![]() In that game I press the button when hovering over a Sticker or Shoutout I want to be said in the chat, and it's very easy, and I can spam it if I want (which I normally don't do, only sometimes with stickers). This would give you the freedom of saying what you want WITHOUT ever messing up and saying something dumb! I found this sort of feature in other games, such as Monster Hunter World, to be very helpful. A simple fix for this might be to add an option that makes it to where instead of releasing the RS thumbstick of the controller when hovering over a saying in chat wheel, you instead just simply click the RS button when hovering over it. This actually happens rather frequently for me, and it's actually gotten me killed believe it or not. For instance, there have been many times where I bring the wheel up, and I decide I don't want to say anything so I close it, but it ends up saying something stupid like "Eat Lead!" which can be a bit embarrassing at times as you'd imagine. ![]() Now, the chat wheel isn't necessarily terrible, and I don't mind using it, but it has some issues, at least when using a controller. It especially sucks when I see other players typing away, and I have to use the chat wheel instead. It's enabled on PC, so why not on Xbox, especially when you can play with PC players? It really irks me that I can't use my chat pad to communicate with others when I play SoT in a crew.
